 In 1837, the governor of Alta California gave a land grant of 22,458 acres to Antonio Ygnacio Avila. That rancho would eventually become the home of LAX. Dr. Donna Schuele
(Cal State LA) will explore the rise and fall of Rancho Sausal Redondo.
This free event is sponsored by the History & Genealogy Department of the Los Angeles Public Library and the Historical Society of Southern California.
